Our customer in Haverstraw, New York suffered water damage from a broken hot water heater. The basement wood floor was damaged beyond repair, and will need to be replaced. The entire area will be dried and deodorized before the restoration process can begin. Our SERVPRO of Southern Rockland County Service Technicians were quickly onsite to assess the damage and begin the cleanup process, and placement of the de-humidifiers, and fans to dry the area. Our Professional Office Staff was on hand to help the customer navigate the insurance coverage estimates and payments. Once we were onsite, our timely mitigation alleviated the stress the customer was feeling and we helped stop any secondary damages because of our quick assessment and placement of equipment. This large commercial water loss was from a pipe burst in the ceiling. The water damage was very extensive - affecting one third of the building from  the fifth floor all the way down to the second. SERVPRO placed drying equipment throughout the hallways to start the drying process. SERVPRO's Project Manager is checking the progress of the job.

Although they may need to be sanded and refinished - obtaining dry industry standard is a crucial first step to saving the hard wood floor.
