Residential water damage is a common and devastating issue for homeowners. Water damage can occur from a variety of sources like plumbing leaks, roof damages, flooding, and or faulty appliances. The severity of the damage can vary based on the extents of the damage and how quickly the issue is attended to. 

Types of Water Damage

1. Clean water damage: Caused by broken water lines, overflowing sinks/bathtubs. This water is free of contaminants.

2.Gray water: This can come from appliances as well as passing through areas of the structure. This has the potential to have pollutants within the water.

3. Black Water: This can be harmful for a variety of reasons. This is often from sewage or flooding. This water can contain harmful bacteria and chemicals, posing severe health risks.

Steps in Mitigating Water Damage

1. Assessment and Inspection: The first step is identifying the source of the water and assessing the damage. 

2. Water Removal: Once the source of the water has been fixed. Removing any standing water quickly is crucial to preventing further damage. In order to remove the water we use pumps, wet-vacuums, and a wide range of other equipment to remove standing water.

3. Drying & Dehumidification

Once the water has been extracted, it is essential to thoroughly dry affected areas, such as the walls, floors, and furniture. Industrial-grade fans and dehumidifiers will be used to accelerate the drying process along with preventing mold growth. 

4. Cleaning & Sanitizing: Depending on the type of water, cleaning and sanitizing the would be necessary to eliminate harmful bacteria and contaminants.
