Water and Fire Damage in a Suffern Property

The greasy smoke from the kitchen fire, though not creating structural damage, coated several rooms of this house with a smelly, caustic film. The water from the extinguishing efforts compounded the damage and the impending cleanup. Our SERVPRO's trained FRST fire and smoke damage technicians understand the circumstances and begin the cleanup by vacuuming up soot where possible and using special dry sponges for wiping down walls and ceilings. We also can set up hydroxyl generators to neutralize the foul odors from the house fire. This can be time-consuming, and some belongings, like knick-knacks and porcelain art and vases, can be packed out to our facility for a thorough cleaning. An ultrasonic immersion can remove the soot without damaging fragile items.
